2D project #5

This time we were supposed to create 4 compositions that alter the narrative by using the same elements(silhouettes) and change the emphasis point in each composition. each composition must show emphasis through 1.value 2. direction 3. proximity 4. color. One composition for each of these.

I thought I'd show my design process this time. from top to bottom, my earliest versions to the final one.

The car museum trip

Today our perspective teacher took us to this classic car museum to study and sketch vintage cars. Pretty awesome place, I must say. Here's one of the sketches I did there. Its the 1922 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost 

First digital painting!

So these are my 1st and 2nd ever completely digital paintings. Pretty crappy, but i guess its okay. Took the concept from a short story called "The Knife Thrower" by Steve Millhauser

2D project #4: a dramatic experimentation

So after scanning my original 2D project which you can see below this post, I was playing around with it on photoshop and then i found it became way cooler than the original. 

2D design project #4

This time, we were assigned to design and paint with acrylics, an abstract composition with complimentary colors depicting a season. I chose winter (after all, that is the coolest season. haha)
