self caricature lipsync!

I love Batman, and its super fun to imitate Christian Bale's Batman. So for our self caricature lipsync assignment at school I designed myself as a 7 year old kid dressed up as Batman.

And here's some design process work. I may or may not add the cape in later CG tests as I found it can be pretty distracting and hides some of the animation.

Customers?

Tried to explore subtler acting with this piece and found it extremely challenging. I don't think I was completely successful but it was a great learning experience.

Over the summer my friend Andrew and I worked on this character project which turned out to be too big to complete before college started again. We may or may not ever get to finish it, but I just thought i'd post about it anyway. We both developed the idea, Andrew did a great job modeling it and I designed and rigged it. I was also going to animate it based on the thumbnails I did below but barely got started on the blocking. With only a standin jacket and no pants or textures, the character is still pretty unfinished. ( He does have some nhair facial hair though :O) But we did have a lot of fun working on it!

school's over!

well, sophomore year is. It's been one insane hectic year especially towards the end. 

For the summer I plan to take a break and go back to college to work as a Teacher's assistant for the summer precollege program.
